Together with our reliable partner Dillinger Hütte, we work closely in the field of the aerospace industry, for instance. Here our joint project is the production of the dome for the international launching system ARIANE 5. Our sister company is responsible for rolling the primary workpiece as well as its subsequent forming and doming. In the run-up to rolling Saarschmiede is responsible for melting and forming, afterwards, for heat treatment, mechanical processing and testing.
A further field of cooperation is commissioned work. Here, Saarschmiede is responsible for the forming of slabs on its forging press with the objective of achieving an improved core density. Subsequently Dillinger Hütte rolls the products to the requested thickness.
